I was recruited to play at Fast Eddie's by Bill
Gardner (ttlpkg et al.)and joined them there the first time they
played as a team. I'm Helfis and since I have only been playing
anywhere for a few months, I'm not that fast on the button. My
goal is to be #1 on the team on a showdown--which with the guys
I'm playing with is some goal. Hope to get to California again (
I moved back here from Sherman Oaks after I was red-tagged in
'94) and see HOW you play with them 'puters.

Greetings out there, fellow players...finally
found the W. Covina site on my own, after TOPGUN kept forgetting
to bounce me the address for it, or the mailing list! *waves* go
out to the rest of the ZACPAC, HQ'd at Puzzles in Ottawa,
Ontario, when I visited there a few years back (and who so
graciously made me one of them for my current handle, much better
than my original ZOTCSS), to all the guys and gals at Beale St.
in SF, who asked me where my spaceship was parked, and was I
moving to the area anytime soon. :) and to the gang down at BW-3s
in Bloomington, IN, who I helped to get working at a team for a
night, succeeding in climbing onto the national board. And of
course, large *waves* to those of you reading this, and everyone
up at all the Nationals! Now, to go work on a few pages of my
OWN!

Thanks for keeping track. We are trying to
catch up to Sam'a town by the end of the year and the stats

This is a great site. Now that I have found it,

Sometimes I get frustrated by your team
results, used to play regularly at the Stick n Srein( El Segundo)
and Yankee Doodles - (Long Beach) 93-95 and Baltimore 96-98 .
Currently doing hard time(3 years) in Hawaii, believe me it;s no
brain trust out here I could never muster up a good team with so
many diversions. Never made it out to your location though. Look
for me hovering around 13k points late night out of Hawaii under
the names El Cid and Druid. Love to see the way you dominate
Canada's best, I hate to see them emerge as the intellects of
North America God help us if next years champs are from Yellow
Knife, Medicine Bow or the Northwest Teritorties

1998. Especially like Showdown (34,000+ on 10/6/98) and Trivial

"futile" I prefer to play using my own knowledge base
and collective unconscience. I work as an electronics engineer in
the Sensors Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory here
at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH (home of the Air Force
Museum). Will have been here for 20 years May 15, 1999. I was
born and raised in the state of Delaware, having grown up in
Smyrna and graduating with a BEE from the University of Delaware
in Newark, DE in 1979. I travel more frequently in my job now and
like to play NTN around the country. Since April I have played in
Napa, CA; Fenwick, DE; Ocean City, MD; and most recently in Santa
Fe, NM where I achieved my first "big board" score (#18
on Abused News on Sep 30,1998) Am looking forward to my first 15K

Hi: If you have received several such messages,
it is because the old ones disappeared without my meaning them
to; I don't know what the hell happened to them. This is a great
site and I appreciate it! Will print a lot and let the other
players at Hoffbrau know about it. My braggadocious remark was to
note that we are strengthening- so much so that we no longer give
much of a damn about beating NickelodeInn, and to note that in
our various incarnations, Rusty Pelican-Dallas, HI-DFW and
Hoffbrau, we have won at least one game of Showdown in each of
the last 10 years. Don Denton's report on the stockholder's

Your team is awesome! Wish we could develop a
way to have individual challenges, one on one, between individual
bars across country. Jack's Tavern would be willing to challenge
West Covina on any individual game other than Showdown. For
instance Wednesday Trivia. That would generate more bar business
and have people show up on off-nights rather than just Tuesdays.
