New Mexico is nicknamed the LAND OF ENCHANTMENT . 3 This cave system is one of New Mexico's prime tourist attractions. CARLSBAD CAVERNS 4. The city of Roswell is best known for a CRASH OF ALIEN SPACESHIP that supposedly took place there in 1947. 5. Santa Fe was the terminus of the famous "Santa Fe Trail" which began in INDEPENDENCE , Missouri. 6. The Acoma Pueblo is called SKY City because of its location.
