Rapid City, SC, formerly a gold mining center, is now the tourist headquarters for the BLACK HILLS area. 3. Walnut Grove, MN is the home town of this "Little House on the Prairie" author. LAURA INGALLS WILDER 4. This capitol city of Nevada was once a social center for nearby mining settlements. CARSON CITY 5. This Arizona "Town too tough to die" was the site of the Earp/Clanton gunfight. TOMBSTONE 6. All of these attractions are found in Denver, CO except U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY.
