Maine's lovely capital city is AUGUSTA . 3 Maine is home to this national park, one of the 10 most-visited. ACADIA 4. Maine is home to more than 60 of these premier tourist attractions. LIGHTHOUSES 5. Residents of Maine are affectionately called DOWN EASTERS . 6. A series of disasters led to the adoption of this bird as the symbol of the city of Portland.
