Bob "SOB" the NTN Player

 Narrative by Linda Woolard

Bob “S O B” was an avid Buzztime trivia player and had been playing since 1996. He had earned 28,618,700 Players PlusPlus Points and 36,854 badges over the course of 16,687 plays.

Bob formed his Showdown team in 1998, a team which currently plays at Dagwoods Sports Tavern Tampa in #Tampa, Florida. In the last Countdown game Bob played, he finished first at his location and 25th overall. Bob had organized several trivia bashes over the years which included people in attendance from across the country.

No matter where he traveled, Bob always managed to find a place to play trivia and was quick to make friends no matter where he played. He was truly a class act. Bob enjoyed drinking ice cold Stella while playing Buzztime. Let's all raise our glasses in memory of Sweet Old Bob!

I met Bob playing trivia about 5 years ago. It is rare for me to find someone that I take an instant liking to. Bob was one of those people. It was sad to see his name disappearing from the results on the Buzztime website. It was sadder seeing his name on the Buzztime game tonight. So sorry for your loss Janelle.

I know that Janelle and Bob touched my life in such a positive way. The love shared between Bob and Janelle was liike no other I have seen, but could only wish for. The world's light shines less bright without Bob in it. He is surely one of the angels looking over his beloved Janelle.

Bob "Tex" was always a special person. We went to High School together on Ohio and he was always so upbeat and friendly. He and I e- mailed a few times this year while he was sick and he still was upbeat and positive. The world was a better place because of him! My prayers are with the family.

Such a wonderful brother! Bob will be missed. I always looked up to him, both physically (I am the shortest Blake) and emotionally. He was dear, like our Mom. Always said the sweetest things to make the world better. He had amazing stories to tell, and terribly funny jokes. He loved you,Janelle, with his whole heart! You were both so fortunate to have each other.
As much as I hate being called Jules, Bob was forgiven, because he always said it as an exclamation.

Love, "JULES!"
